Privacy Policy
A plain-language summary of information Runbookery may process and why.
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Information you provide
If you use the contact form, Runbookery receives the name, email address, subject and message you submit. The Runbookery Core plugin sends that message by email to the site administrator and does not intentionally store the submitted message in the WordPress database.
Technical information
Like most websites, the hosting platform, web server, security layers and WordPress may process technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, requested URLs, timestamps and error/security logs. This information may be used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site.
Cookies and analytics
Runbookery Core does not currently enable advertising or analytics cookies by default. If analytics or advertising is enabled later, this policy and the site consent mechanism will be updated as appropriate.
Browser-based tools
The CIDR Calculator, YAML Toolkit and Epoch Time Converter are designed to process their primary tool input in your browser. Runbookery does not intentionally send the values you paste into those tools to the Runbookery server for calculation. Third-party browser resources, if used by a tool, may still receive ordinary network metadata such as your IP address when the resource is loaded.
Advertising
Runbookery may use advertising services such as Google AdSense in the future. Before ads are activated, the site will implement the required disclosures and consent controls for the regions in which they apply. Advertising providers may use cookies or other local storage and process data according to their own policies.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to messages, maintain and secure the website, diagnose technical problems, understand site usage when analytics is enabled, and improve Runbookery content and tools.
Retention and sharing
Contact emails may be retained only as long as reasonably useful for correspondence and operational records. Hosting, email, security, analytics or advertising providers may process information on Runbookery’s behalf when those services are used. Runbookery does not sell contact-form submissions.
Your choices
You may avoid submitting the contact form or including personal information in messages. Browser settings can also be used to manage cookies and local storage. Additional consent controls will be introduced before advertising is enabled where required.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site adds services, analytics, advertising or other functionality. The updated date above will change when this page is revised.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent through the Runbookery contact form.
